Nyasar di Jalan

Sometimes you can have a very bad luck, just because you're more into style than function. That's what happened to me when I decided to use a synthetic pouch to keep my iPod. What happened? The pouch's fabric was smooth it slipped from my grip and the iPod fell to the slot between elevator and floor... And slammed to the basement of my office, fifteen floors down. iPod, Busted! You can't see the extend of the damage but believe me, when your mood depend so much on the music you hear -- and bring along everywhere -- this misfortune broke your heart. It costed me USD 150 for a new one by trading this iPod at the authorized service center. Must wait the replacement shipped from Singapore. One month of misery. Hopefully I won't repeat the same mistake again.

Itulah yang sebaiknya kita lakukan: berhati-hati. Di mana pun kita berada, bahkan saat di dalam mall kelas atas terkemuka di Jakarta. Gampang, kita tak tahu seperti apa saja pengunjung tempat itu. Siapa tahu ada pencopet yang menyamar dengan pakaian yang terlihat pantas sebagai pengunjung tempat itu. Itulah yang sempat terpikirkan olehku saat melihat keadaan sekitar dan mencoba merekam aktivitas orang-orang secara   tak kentara. Mungkin hanya sekedar iseng tetapi jelas aku tak bermaksud melanggar privasi orang lain yang sedang kupotret. Yeah, katamu, mungkin ini hanya pembelaan yang lemah dariku. Tetapi melihat salah satu hasil foto candid  yang kudapat, di atas, aku jadi teringat soal keamanan dan kewaspadaan kita pada lingkungan sekitar sebagai bentuk naluri / insting bertahan hidup yang manusiawi. Seakan-akan tangan anak yang lewat itu akan menyambar kantung belanjaan yang kujepit di antara kedua kakiku, bukan? Tidak, sebenarnya anak itu hanya lewat, tetapi seakan-ak...

So when we went out on a date we found out this store that sells premium electronic goods. She started toying with various gadgets and then settled on one apparatus that then she used to take pictures of her. Seeing her enthusiasm, I proposed collaborating together to make a different photo than she usually took. The result is here. Ha ha ha...
